Patina Miller

Patina Patina PatinaMiller was the lead actor in Stephen Schwartz's famous production of "Pippin" in Broadway. It was the Tony Award winning director Diane Paulus directed "Pippin" in addition to included Matthew James Thomas and Andrea Martin. Terrence Mann and Matthew James Thomas were the actors who also starred. Patina gave her unique contemporary spin on the award-winning Ben Vereen's part and could master the Fosse movements that were so essential to the production. The performance of Patina earned her a Tony Award in the category of Best Actress, Leading Role Musical. The Outer Critics Circle Award was as well in recognition of Outstanding Actress. From December 2012 until Jan. 2013, she was The Leading Player of American Repertory Theater's production of Pippin. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
